Between the sun-drenched plain and the garrigue, on the borders of the Haut Languedoc regional park, a 6-hectare oasis for just 26 pitches, surrounded by a pine forest and vines. The 3-star Mas de Lignières, which opened in 1987, invites you to recharge your batteries in a family atmosphere of serenity and wellbeing.

THE DELIBERATELY LIMITED NUMBER OF PITCHES ALLOWS EVERYONE TO FEEL AT HOME

The majority of these are classified as “extremely comfortable”, having connections to water, electricity and mains drainage, while the other pitches are adapted to tents for “pure naturalists”. There are also 6 rentals available. Reading in the large library, relaxing by the pool and playing bowls by the barbecue are some of the activities enjoyed by my guests. Every Sunday evening, a little glass of local Minervois wine is offered to all on the farmhouse terrace, which is a happy and convivial occasion. In the morning, you can have coffee and local honey to start the day full of energy.ie.

ACTIVITIES CONNECTED WITH NATURE

Hikes are organised by a certified guide with several themes – fauna (birds) and flora in the spring, and the nearby Pyrenees mountains for the more expert, mountain biking along the forest tracks and the Canal du Midi, road biking in the Massif du Caroux, rock climbing in the gorges of the nearby River Cesse, canoeing on the River Orb and River Aude...

AN ENVIRONMENT FULL OF HISTORY

Minerve, the medieval city of Carcassonne and the nearby castles were important centres of Catharism. The Canal du Midi, with its civil engineering structures and the typical little villages dotted alongside it.
The Roman city of Narbonne and the many abbeys (Lagrasse, Fontfroide, Caunes minervois) are major tourist sites not to be missed. The nearby Mediterranean will welcome you for lovely sunny days by the seaside.
